HKCC wins huge appeal on golf course case in Westchester County. This case clarifies the meaning of a subject property sale on property tax valuations.

HKCC attorneys, Jay M. Herman and Jacquelyn Mascetti, represented a premier, nationally and world ranked golf club in its assessment challenges. After a trial that occurred over a six (6) month period, the Court awarded substantial assessment reductions resulting in millions of dollars of tax refunds. The trial determined the real estate (land and improvement) value of a private for-profit golf club. It involved real estate valuation, land use planning, the State Environmental and Review Act (SEQRA), and other legal and appraisal issues. The Decision has been referenced in a national golf magazine.
